Pink Up Ballan - Public Meeting
Pink Up Ballan
We are greatly encouraged by the support and interest being expressed in this project from many of our community and beyond.
The recent articles in the press and on the radio have broadened our reach helped to spread the message and purpose behind Pink Up Ballan – part of the McGrath Foundation’s October focus Pink Up Your Town. In addition to raising funds for (and awareness of) the work of the McGrath Foundation in providing free Breast Cancer nurses for those with breast cancer and their families, we hope that this will be an opportunity for the whole local community to be involved and celebrate what we can achieve as a community working together for a common cause.
Our initial community meeting and project launch is happening:
Tuesday 11 June in the supper room of the Community House, 6-7pm with light refreshments to follow.
We will hear from a local McGrath Foundation nurse about her work and then we will outline some roles we need to fill and the way the project will run.
We are delighted that our local Member of Parliament Michaela Settle MP, and the Mayor of Moorabool Cr Paul Tatchell have agreed to be our joint patrons.
We are working towards being able to live-broadcast the launch event via our facebook page.
Please direct initial questions to: email@example.com
This is an event we can all get involved with and own it for our town.
NB: We have booked St Anne’s Winery for the major event: A Mayoral Pink Ball, Save the date, Friday 1 November from 7pm … more details to follow.
